Maybe it’s because it reminds me so much of drawings I used to do as a kid. I won’t show all the drawings in the journal because I want you to experience the game yourself, eventually, but I will show you one that stood out to me. I suggest clicking everything, as I’m not sure when we’ll be able to re-enter this area (if at all) as we continue with Omori. The first cutscene alone before entering the first area was beautifully made.Īs soon as you finish the first scene, you enter a white area with a cat, a journal, a laptop, a lightbulb, and some tissues. I’m not familiar with the developer or their art, but from what I’ve gathered, a lot of the game was hand-drawn by the project leader themselves. However, I am excited to get into the game now, so here we go! I only recently found out about Omori last month when I was perusing through horror games on Steam, so I didn’t get to experience the mix of hype and frustration others have for over half a decade. I don’t know whether this is fortunate or unfortunate, but I wasn’t one of the ones who waited since Omori’s Kickstarter to get hyped about the game.
